This particular Steel framed gates are the most popular design that we build.

They are built using horizontal one by six, clear redwood.
Clear redwood means that there aren’t any knots in the lumber.

Plus it also means that the wood is dry. Standard redwood fence boards are typically wet or “green” so they shrink once we install them. They also are rough cut instead of Smooth.

Clear redwood is by far the nicest material for the lowest possible cost. Plus when you use the beautiful solid stains that are manufactured by Behr.
You can count on the finish to last for many years without any maintenance.
You may have to refinish your fence or gate every 7 to 8 years depending on some exposure.

The other advantage of using solid wood stains for your wood fence is the fact that you do not see any visible screws or attachments.
You notice the filled screw holes on all of our projects.
This is one of our signatures. Most fence and gate companies tend to leave exposed screws or nail holes, because it’s a lot faster process.
